Marbling Glass with Nail Polish

I have recently discovered that it is fairly simple and fun to add color to your glass projects using nail polish.  Here's what you need to do.

What you need:
  • Nail polish colors of your choice
  • Basin for warm water that you don't mind getting nail polish all over
  • tooth picks
  • a place to set out to dry
  • sealant of your choice: nail polish clear coat, spray paint clear seal, etc.
  • Optional: gloves, so you don't get nail polish all over your hands
Fill your bin with warm water (too hot water makes the nail polish clump really bad and doesn't work).  Poor your nail polish into the warm water in a swirl pattern of your choice, possibly use the tooth pick to create a swirl pattern.  Lower your container into the nail polish pattern, rolling if necessary and set out to dry.  When it's all dry, spray with your sealant (or apply by hand if you choose to use clear nail polish).
